9 Steps to Raise Your Vibration
You’ve likely heard the phrase at some point, “Raise your vibration.” But what does it actually mean? Why should you care?
If you’re like me, you may have initially thought of it as just a nice, catchy “hippie” phrase. Sounds good, but how do I do that?
After further examination and thought, I have realized there is much more to this that has massive implications for not only our own well-being, but the evolution of the collective consciousness and the well-being of our fellow humans. Let me explain…
Bear with me first as I go into the science behind the importance of this concept.
Everything is energy. Everything is “vibrating” at certain frequency. Just take it from two of the most influential thinkers in modern physics and science:
Atoms, molecules, cells, matter is all energy vibrating at a certain frequency.
Think of tuning fork, it vibrates and the sound it creates correlates to that frequency.
Solid matter is vibrating at a lower frequency than liquid, and liquid vibrates at a lower frequency than gas. We see this phenomenon with the different states of water: freeze it and you slow down the vibration of the molecules and create ice. Take those same ice cubes, warm them up, the molecules begin to vibrate more, and it becomes liquid. Heat it up even more and it becomes vapor, the molecules are vibrating at a high rate.
Objects also have their own energetic fields.
Electric fields are created by differences in voltage: the higher the voltage, the stronger will be the resultant field. Magnetic fields are created when electric current flows: the greater the current, the stronger the magnetic field. An electric field will exist even when there is no current flowing. One of the main characteristics which defines an electromagnetic field (EMF) is its frequency or its corresponding wavelength. Fields of different frequencies interact with the body in different ways. One can imagine electromagnetic waves as series of very regular waves that travel at an enormous speed, the speed of light. The frequency simply describes the number of oscillations or cycles per second, while the term wavelength describes the distance between one wave and the next. Just as our Earth has an electromagnetic field, so does our physical body. We have the technology to observe electromagnetic fields:
Our EMF field is mostly generated by our heart, it is the pump of life force for our body. Thoughts, emotions, movements are simply electrical impulses and currents flowing through our bodies. These electrical signals and currents carry energetic frequencies.
Without even going into the science behind the frequency of emotion, you can feel the difference between emotions and see how “vibration” applies here. We classify emotions as positive and negative, we use words like “heavy” or “light” to describe them, you physically feel more energetic and when you are happy or in love.
“Positive” emotions like joy, gratitude, love, acceptance have a higher vibration, and emotions like fear, anger, sadness have a lower frequency, or vibration.
So what are the implications? What does this mean for how we experience reality?
Clearly, being in a higher vibrational state correlates to feeling better, physically, emotionally, and mentally. You feel lighter, you feel more happy, reality becomes more enjoyable.
Now, if you’re a believer of the Law of Attraction, this has even more, greater implications! Your electroMAGNETIC field is literally attracting or repelling the things of your desire. Even if you don’t believe that this holds true for inanimate objects (which still have their own magnetic properties), it definitely impacts how you attract and resonate with people that could help or inhibit your path towards your desired outcomes.
And, if you believe the science behind it, you have to then think about how this affects our environment and how we interact with other people, objects, and fields.
Let me now introduce the concept of resonance:
In physics, resonance describes the phenomenon of increased amplitude that occurs when the frequency of a periodically applied force (or a Fourier component of it) is equal or close to a natural frequency of the system on which it acts. When an oscillating force is applied at a resonant frequency of a dynamical system, the system will oscillate at a higher amplitude than when the same force is applied at other, non-resonant frequencies.
In other words, when two of the same frequencies are in close proximity of each other, the amplitude increases. When two tuning forks of the same frequency are ringing next to each other, the volume doubles.
There is also “antiresonance,” where the amplitude of the frequency can drop when there is interference by a vibration of a differing frequency. Have you ever been in a room that suddenly felt as if the air was sucked out of it when a certain person walked in?
With all of the recent events happening, especially around the death of George Floyd, it’s clear there are still some “lower” vibrational frequencies still operating. In order to create and see a massive change in our world, we all must do our part to collectively raise the vibration to experience more love, acceptance, and unity.
What frequency are you vibrating at? How well do you resonate with other high vibrational frequencies?
Are you contributing to the collective increasing of the vibration of the human race? Or are you part of the “antiresonance?”
So, what can we do to “raise” our vibration?
1. Drink quality water, and lots of it. We are 70% water, enough said….
2. Eat great quality foods, eliminate toxins, take vitamins. “you are what you eat” holds a lot of truth.
3. Exercise! The body wants to move. It leads to great health and happiness.
4. Get lots of sun. Soak in the vibrations of the one thing responsible for providing life and light each and every day. Not to mention it’s a great source of one of, if not THE most important, vitamin, (D)
5. Journal. Be conscious of your thoughts. What are your dreams? What are your challenges? A great tool for processing thoughts and emotions and solving problems.
6. Meditation. There’s a reason people, especially monks, have practiced this for thousands of years. Great for reducing stress, clearing the mind, and feeling great.
7. Human connection – there’s a great study that shows loneliness is one of the leading causes of depression and suicide. We are social creatures, we need connection to survive. Talk with your loved ones, hang out with friends, laugh!
8. Something you’re passionate about/knowing your purpose – easier said than done… this is one a lot of people struggle with. Why are you alive? What gives you goosebumps? What gets you out of bed every morning excited to take on the day?
9. Pattern of great thoughts – everything starts with the brain and our thoughts. It is the CPU and hard drive of our great machine called the body. Great thoughts lead to great emotions. Be diligent about your habitual thoughts.
